I spent decades throwing a big rubber fish at largemouth. What a challenging journey that was attempting to unlock unknown potential at the time with new baits. They're experiences I'll cherish forever and will at some point revisit. I'm living that all over again with these Calico and Sand Bass. They EAT the big bait when conditions align. It's been a blast re-learning this fishery. This is not a simple puzzle of just tie on something big, chuck and wind. It wasn't that way in freshwater, it won't be that way in the saltwater. Details matter, and there's only one way I know how to determine what will make a difference. Scientifically breaking down the puzzle via trial and error, through the process of exhausting the process of elimination.
