I've watched these animals my entire life through countless nature documentaries. I had never laid my eyes on one up until this year. That is until one decided to devour my reconbaits A-Rig earlier this year! That was a wild incidental encounter (the bite felt like another calico bite BTW) and it was sick to feel the power of one of these even for just a few moments. Seeing this Great White Shark at one of our local islands just cruising along is a memory with my wife riley.ngy (who had yet to see one herself until this happened) is a day I'll never forget as we just watched in awe. Such a BIG fish and yet it was still just a juvenile! At first I spotted it checking out a big bait ball and thought it was a Mola, then the moment it clicked in my brain I couldn't help but yell, "White Shark!" 🤯 I'm definitely never going in the ocean again, these guys aren't even number 1 on that food chain!
