#TSRPolitics: As details about the hantavirus outbreak aboard the #MVHondius continue to emerge, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a statement. ____________________________________ Wednesday evening, the CDC said, “The safety and health of the affected American travelers is our number one goal. Hantavirus is not spread by people without symptoms; transmission requires close contact, and the risk to the American public is very low.” ____________________________________ According to cbsnews, five states said they are monitoring passengers who debarked the ship in April before any cases were confirmed. There are two passengers each in Georgia and Texas, one from Arizona, and one from Virginia. There are reportedly an unspecified number from California.
