Before the Swiss Alps 100, there was the Canyons. The UTMB Canyons 100K was never supposed to be easy. 62 miles of relentless climbing and technical terrain through the canyons of California's Sierra Nevada foothills. This was the trial run: a chance to test the body, the gear, and the mind ahead of one of the most demanding 100-mile races in the world. It didn't go without suffering. But that was the point. Every hard mile here is a deposit toward Switzerland. Hope you enjoy!
What does it actually take to run 100 miles through the Swiss Alps? This weekly series follows my full journey, from the first training run to the start line in Switzerland. Every long run, every setback, every gear decision, and every doubt along the way. No highlight reel. Just the real process of preparing for one of the most demanding ultramarathons in the world. New episodes every week!
