The investigation began after two trucks were stolen in February 2026 and later recovered with heavy damage, tampered ignitions, and partially removed catalytic converters. On April 9, detectives served a search warrant at a suspected chop shop in Bell, arresting one suspect and recovering stolen property, including another stolen vehicle and a catalytic converter tied to ongoing thefts. A second suspect was arrested May 5 in Compton during a coordinated enforcement operation. This suspect was also found to have an outstanding felony burglary warrant from San Diego County. Both suspects face multiple felony charges related to grand theft, possession of stolen property, and vehicle theft. #photosfromthefield
