The UC Board of Regents, in two days of meetings at UCLA, held talks about trust in the university, its finances and its strategies for health and energy, but took few actions. The meetings were also marked by rallies, a rush of protests and a picket. The regents selected Katherine Yelick, UC Berkeley vice chancellor for research, for the lead role at LBNL, setting her pay at $825,000 annually.
