UC Berkeley’s Law Students for Justice in Palestine has come under fire for hosting Israa Jaabis — a pro-Palestinian activist previously convicted in an Israeli car bombing — in a virtual livestream at its Palestinian Political Prisoners’ Day event April 20. On April 28, UC Regent Jay Sures denounced the event on Fox News Digital as “disgusting and abhorrent,” joining a growing body of critics who have condemned Law Students for Justice in Palestine for hosting the event on campus.
