BEFORE and (almost) AFTERS It’s nine months since we moved into the barn here, after spending the previous nine months converting it from a raw empty storage space into the basic structure of a three bedroom, three bathroom home. So it’s nice to take a moment just to look back and see some of what we’ve managed to do so far. I’m doing all the actual decorating myself, so it’s a slow process, especially when I keep deciding to hand paint murals! But slow is good, because you can feel the space as it changes through the seasons. I’ve also realized that I’m a kind of get everything roughly nice type of type of person and then I keep circling back to gradually do more to each space; rather than a completely finish one room at a time type of person.
