A piece of Arizona history is gone 😔 The historic Barlow-Massicks house — known locally as the “Castle on the Creek” — was destroyed in a fast-moving fire Saturday afternoon in Prescott Valley. Fire crews arrived to find flames coming from the roof and worked quickly to contain it, but the damage was too severe. The home was reduced to its brick frame. The property dated back to the late 1800s and was built as a British-style manor, complete with a ballroom and wine cellar — something rarely seen in Arizona at the time. One person inside was able to escape safely, and another was taken to the hospital. A historic landmark that stood for over a century… gone in just hours. Did you ever see this place in person?
