Hundreds of people gathered in Surprise this weekend to protest a planned immigration processing facility in the West Valley. The demonstration happened just one day after Arizona’s Attorney General filed a lawsuit aiming to block the project. According to reports, more than 250 residents showed up, holding signs and voicing concerns about the facility planned near Dysart Road and Waddell Road. The proposed site would turn an industrial warehouse into a processing center for undocumented immigrants, with operations potentially starting as early as this fall.
