What started as a routine crash turned into something much bigger in northern Arizona. According to DPS, a trooper responded to a crash on State Route 87 near Payson earlier this month — but during the investigation, they discovered something unexpected. Inside the vehicle, troopers found:     •    12 fake driver’s licenses     •    Around 60 Home Depot gift cards totaling more than $80,000     •    Dozens of warranty stickers with different serial numbers The items were reportedly hidden inside magnetic boxes. Authorities say the passenger was arrested and booked on multiple felony identity theft charges. No injuries were reported in the crash, but investigators say the case may be connected to a larger fraud operation. The investigation is still ongoing.
