Phoenix residents are about to see their trash bills go up — and it won’t just be a one-time increase. City leaders have approved a plan to raise solid waste fees by about 38% over the next three years. Right now, the average monthly bill is around $37. Starting this July, it’ll increase by $5 per month. Then another $5 increase is scheduled for July 2027… followed by an additional $4 increase in 2028. That brings the total to just over $51 a month. After that, rates will continue to rise with inflation through 2033, capped at 5% per year. City officials say the increase is needed to keep up with costs and maintain services — and noted it’s actually lower than the nearly 50% hike that was originally proposed. Still, for many residents, it’s another monthly bill going up. Especially at a time when a lot of everyday costs are already rising. Do you think this increase is reasonable… or just another hit to Phoenix residents? Via AZFamily #phoenix #arizona #news #costofliving #...
