At the IV International Autism Conference 2026, the Special Olympics Global Center for Inclusion in Education intentionally placed the voices of athletes and families at the heart of the dialogue, recognizing their leadership as essential to building truly inclusive systems. Our panel, “Families, Siblings & Inclusion: Voices Shaping the Future of Autism & IDD Support,” centered parents, athletes, youth, and self‑advocates, highlighting how family leadership, early access to sport and the arts, and strong home–school partnerships build confidence, belonging, and opportunity.
