This is a story of next-big-thing energy. Gout Gout is a rising track star. He broke the world age-group record set in 2003 by Usain Bolt, becoming the fastest 16-year-old ever in the 200-meter dash. His coach, the only one he’s ever had, is Di Sheppard. She is a grandmother who used to work at a supermarket before she set out to become a successful track coach. Sheppard first saw Gout race when he was the equivalent of a seventh grader at Ipswich Grammar School in Australia. “I looked at him and just went, ‘Oh my God.’ Something just gut-punchy.
