Cincinnati Reds first baseman Sal Stewart is off to such a strong start this season that MLB announced on Monday, May 4, he is the National League rookie of the month for April. Stewart, who has cooled down to 2-for-28 with one walk in the last seven games, nonetheless finished April hitting .281 with nine home runs and an NL-leading 29 RBIs.
