Framber Valdez has become one of the more controversial pitchers in baseball because of multiple emotional incidents on the mound. In 2025, after giving up a grand slam against the Yankees, Valdez appeared to intentionally “cross up” his catcher, César Salazar, by throwing a different pitch than the one that was called. The pitch hit Salazar in the ribs, and many fans and analysts questioned whether it was truly accidental. The criticism followed Valdez into 2026 during a game against the Boston Red Sox. After allowing back-to-back home runs, Valdez hit Trevor Story in the back with a fastball, causing both benches to clear. He was immediately ejected, and MLB later suspended him for six games because the pitch was believed to be intentional. Because of these moments, many fans now see Valdez as a talented pitcher whose emotions sometimes create unnecessary drama and controversy during games. - follow ( slugger.report ) for insane baseball content - #baseball #mlb #baseballplays #fra...
