Rosalynn Carter lived a life of service not only to the people of Georgia, but to the United States. In fact, President Jimmy Carter referred to his wife of 77 years as his equal partner in everything he accomplished. In addition to being a driving force in the fight against the stigma associated with mental health, Mrs. Carter was a longtime United Way of Greater Atlanta Tocqueville Society donor and championed child well-being in Georgia alongside her husband.
