Last month, Lacrosse Australia wrapped up a hugely successful @majorleaguesixes in Adelaide — a national showcase proving just how much momentum the sport is building ahead of its Olympic return. Across three action-packed days, the Brisbane Salties went undefeated to claim the Women’s title, while the Melbourne Makos took out the Men’s in a fast, high-scoring finale that showed off everything Sixes is about. Beyond the elite competition, the event brought the whole lacrosse community together — from QuickStix clinics and U15 showcases to the induction of our first Hall of Fame class and celebrations of our ’95 and ’05 world champion teams. Major League Sixes highlighted a sport on the rise, a thriving pathway, and a community ready for global attention.
