Through setbacks, sleepless nights, doubt, grief, and growth, I’ve been stretched, humbled, and refined in ways I never imagined. Being the youngest of six meant I was always watching learning what to do and what not to do. It gave me a different kind of awareness and a drive to change the direction of my family, not just for me, but for everyone coming after me. Where I’m from taught me resilience. It taught me how to stay focused when distractions are everywhere and how to keep pushing when nothing comes easy. I carry that with me in everything I do. I’m not trying to be a product of my environment I’m trying to rise above it and set a new standard. I took a risk and bet on myself, and I did everything I said I was going to do.
