But life has a way of humbling you, redirecting you, and forcing you to find strength you didn’t even know you had. Somewhere between uncertainty, setbacks, fear, and rebuilding, I learned that purpose doesn’t always arrive the way you expect it to. When I arrived at Prairie View A&M University in 2022, I wasn’t just transferring schools — I was starting over mentally, emotionally, and academically. I came searching for clarity, and somewhere on The Hill, I found it. I changed my major to Human Nutrition & Food with a concentration in Dietetics, and for the first time in a long time, I felt aligned with my purpose again.
