Growing up in Camberley, Surrey, Ashley felt drawn to the arts from a young age and knew early on that she wanted to pursue a career in creative fields. Before getting into acting, she grew up singing classical music and opera, and playing the piano. By 18, Ashley had signed with a modeling agency and begun auditioning, and she went on to study acting at Arts Educational Schools (ArtsEd) in West London.
Before she was starring as Amari, Miranda Priestly’s new assistant in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which hit theaters this weekend, she made her acting debut in the series “Wolfblood,” and later, appeared as Olivia Hanan in Netflix’s “Sex Education.” In 2022, she starred as Kate Sharma in “Bridgerton,” a role that broke barriers for South Asian representation in mainstream media.
