More affectionately known as our little Lamby…which is kind of ironic because she may look like a sweet little lamb but she’ll take you down with the force of a Lion on the field. Leila is another truly irreplaceable part of this stellar SR class. She’s a poster child for college athletics success—put your head down, work harder today than yesterday, and stay locked in on the controllables. I’m sure there was a time early on when the staff, and even she herself doubted if she would ever be a significant contributor—but her mindset allowed her to grow into one of our fiercest competitors and someone we couldn’t take off the field. She’s the perfect combination of wanting to be on the field and put the team on her back and also being everyone’s else’s hugest fan and hype-woman. She was one of those players the staff trusted implicitly as we knew we could use her as an honest barometer for the team....
