An Ottawa driver says their calm early morning commute turned stressful fast after being aggressively tailgated, flashed repeatedly with high beams.
He then watched the same driver allegedly use the shoulder to cut around traffic when another vehicle didn’t move over fast enough. All of this… at 6 in the morning on a Friday.
It’s one thing to be in a rush. It’s another to put everyone around you at risk before most people have even finished their first coffee.
A lot of Ottawa drivers say aggressive behaviour like this is becoming way too common, especially around the left lane, with tailgating, weaving, and pressure tactics becoming part of the daily commute.
Others will say if someone is camping in the passing lane, that causes frustration too. But no amount of impatience justifies reckless driving that could cause a serious crash.
