Shoutout to the Ottawa officers who went above and beyond for a young boy when they didn’t have to 🙏❤️🚲 Two Ottawa Police officers are being praised after going above and beyond for a 12 year old boy who had recently gone through a difficult situation. “Sometimes policing is more than just responding to calls.” Police say the young boy had reportedly been approached and intimidated by four unknown males in what was believed to be an attempted robbery. The boy safely ran home and officers attended to speak with him and his mother. While talking with the family, officers also learned that just one week earlier, their storage locker had been broken into and the boy’s bicycle had been stolen. Police say there was unfortunately little evidence to move the investigation forward and replacing the bike was not financially possible for the family at the time.
