Any mechanics know what’s going on? 🤨 Engine compression is the vital process of squeezing the air-fuel mixture into a tiny fraction of its original volume to maximize the explosive force of every drop of fuel. By pre-heating the mixture and increasing its pressure, the engine achieves much higher thermal efficiency and ensures a more complete, powerful burn during the power stroke. This mechanical “tightness” is also the primary indicator of an engine’s health, as leaks in the seals or valves lead to immediate power loss and poor fuel economy. Without the extreme heat generated by this compression, diesel engines wouldn’t even be able to ignite their fuel. Since high-compression engines deliver more power, why don’t we simply build every engine with the highest compression ratio possible? What are your thoughts? 🤔💭 ( Media: rafacanico ) #cars #mechanic #engine #carguy #carmemes
