When Oz Nelson’s wife, Ann, called to let me know my dear friend had passed, she told me how much he loved United Way. United Way loved Oz back. As the former CEO of UPS, Oz was a busy man but he made time to serve his community, acting as United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Campaign Chair in 1995 and our Board Chair in 1997. Oz made a profound impact on Greater Atlanta and was one of United Way's greatest champions. He will be sorely missed.
