Generosity with WISDOM is biblical! I have recently became a victim of this trapped mindset that I needed to give everything I had to those who are in need. Which on one hand is good because God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7). However, this same verse points out the heart posture behind your generosity. Don’t give just because you have to, you should WANT to give there’s a difference. In Proverbs 21:20 it also speaks on how a fool spends everything given to him! This applies to many things but includes generosity. So how can you know when it’s right to give? This is why we need to have discernment and more important ask God for understanding on being generous with wisdom and cheerfulness.
