Replying to @themuseumlover Bird Update! Or rather, replying to everyone 😅 The TL;DR: -Why didn't I put them back in the nest? I was worried about stabilizing the babies and the nest did NOT look stable. Also from a practicality standpoint, I didn't have a ladder handy and I had to leave my house 🤷‍♀️ -When I came back (like 4 hours later), they were all still alive! I took them to the closest wildlife center (Centre Wildlife Cares for those who were asking), who do intake on song birds specifically 🐦 -I drove them, with them on the floor with my heat on, and they were all responding to it. -When I got to the center, the woman doing intake said they were all alive, sitting under a heat lamp, and receiving some fluids. She said they seemed pretty hearty, and we both suspected they are finches, though it was pretty hard to tell since they aren't really even at fledgling stage yet. She said I did a good job and she suspected they had a good chance of making it -The wildlife center too...
