When we moved into our current location nearly five years ago, one of the things we were most excited about with moving to the new building was being able to take over such a historic location. Prior to us purchasing the building, it was the home of Dickerson Hardware. The family owned and operated their small business for sixty-plus years in this location. Charlie Dickerson was a founding member of the Clayton Fire Department and local Chamber of Commerce while also being a charter member of the Clayton Rotary Club with perfect attendance for 60 years! His loving and devoted wife, Venice, was a driving force behind the success of the store. She was active in the community after retiring from her nursing career and as administrator at the local hospital.
