Our countdown to inaugural Gator Nurses Day on Monday, May 11 continues with stories that inspire us. Recent Traditional BSN graduate Brooke Landess discovered her passion for nursing while helping care for her grandparents, learning early what it means to support others during difficult moments. A first-generation college student from Fort Lauderdale, she balanced academics, leadership roles and work while pursuing her dream at the University of Florida College of Nursing. From serving as a nurse ambassador and peer mentor to gaining hands-on experience during her ICU rotation at ufhealth, Brooke’s journey reflects the compassion, resilience and dedication that define Gator Nurses. “I’ve always wanted to help people, but nursing showed me what that really looks like,” Landess said. “It’s being there for someone when they need it most.” #CareLeadInspireBoldly #UFNursing70 Story link in first comment.
