If you feel lonely, ever, find a bell ensemble đ
For 50 years, Trinityâs Handbell Ensemble has turned bells into something bigger than music.
Inside a rehearsal room tucked beneath Parker Chapel, students create sea shanties, movie scores, experimental soundscapes and lifelong friendships.
âThis really is about the joy,â says Hope Paschall â26. âHere, youâre not thinking about your worries, about stress. You are focused directly on whatâs in front of you.â
The ensembleâs newest techniques involve Mardi Gras beads, percussion, singing and creative experimentation that pushes handbells far beyond tradition. But the heart of the group stays the same: collaboration, curiosity and connection.
âWe are all one instrument,â says director Stephanie Berryman Pâ27.
âWe count on you when youâre here, and when you leave, we canât wait for you to come back and ring with us again as alumni.â
