During pregnancy, hormones are obviously a little bonkers. Your levels of estrogen and progesterone increase, so you might notice your hair is growing faster and sometimes a little thicker than usual. The hormone changes can also often lead to an increase in melanin. So you may notice your hair getting gradually darker as your pregnancy progresses. For some women, this change can be permanent but *usually* after a few months of having your baby, everything goes back to normal.
