🎓 #UNLVGrad student Kimberly Alvarez-Vazquez is graduating with her Master of Public Administration this spring. She says her favorite experience was being challenged in ways that encouraged growth. She described her time as a student as “empowering,” explaining that opportunities to engage deeply in community events and trainings throughout the valley helped expand her knowledge in the MPA program. Professor shout out: “Dr. Miliaikeala SJ. Heen is an incredible asset to the program, and I am so thankful to have had her as my professor for the MPA capstone course.” First impression of UNLV: It felt like home, she said. “UNLV has been with me through my undergraduate studies, graduate certificate, and now my MPA.” But earning her master’s degree is just the beginning for this graduate! This fall, Kimberly will continue her educational journey as a doctoral student at UNLV’s School of Public Policy.
