Day trip from LA to Solvang 🚐🇩🇰 We’ve been trying to do more California road trips, so we decided last minute to take a day trip to Solvang! Ever since we traveled to Copenhagen last year, I’ve been wanting to visit the Danish Capital of America 🥲 The drive from LA took us about 2.5 hours without stops, and from the moment we got there, I felt like I was transported back to Denmark. Here’s everything we did with the limited time we had: 🐦 Started at Ostrichland. Admission is $7, and feeding the ostriches is an extra $1 — which you’ll definitely want to do. It was our first time seeing ostriches up close, and feeding them was so fun! 🚶‍♀️ Explored downtown, took way too many photos of the windmills, and were in awe of all the Danish-style buildings and homes 🍛 Tried the sausage platter at Solvang Restaurant 🥐 Picked up pastries at Danish Mill Bakery 🌶️ Shopped at Solvang Spice Merchant, where Andy had way too much fun choosing his favorite spices 🚋 Hopped on a trolley tour ins...
