Not a day goes by that I am not thankful for pageants and the friendships, opportunities, and memories it has given me. On this #internationalpageantday I am overwhelmed with joy towards what the @misstnvolpageant and @missvolunteeramericapag has given me. • My journey with pageants does not start as tiny Kara, but as college student Kara. My friend @j_moneylewis encouraged me to compete in Miss Austin Peay way back in September of 2021. Not a day goes by that I am not grateful for Jacob and his push to do this because, well, look at me now. My first year at the state pageant, I was Miss Murfreesboro Volunteer. I won that title four months after Miss Austin Peay, which was my first pageant ever. After that very long week, I went home with a non-finalist award, but was determined to do better the following year.
