MonstroCity at City Museum ✈️ Part playground, part sculpture, part fever dream. MonstroCity opened in 2001 as an outdoor extension of City Museum built almost entirely from salvaged industrial materials. The structure includes suspended airplane fuselages, fire trucks, castles, bridges, tunnels, and a 4-story wrought-iron slinky all welded into one giant climbable maze wrapping around the side of the building. The two suspended planes are retired Sabreliner 40 fuselages, and the rocket ship has become one of the most recognizable pieces of the museum itself. If you grew up in STL, you probably risked your life here at least once. 📸 unfocused19 #stlouisgram
