One thing you have to understand is that women can never really dictate what it means to be a man or define masculinity for men because they haven’t lived the experience themselves. A lot of the time, when someone says, “A real man does this,” what they’re really describing is a man who makes them feel emotionally comfortable, safe, validated, or secure. But masculinity was never built around comfort alone. The problem is, if a man builds his entire identity around female approval, he slowly disconnects from the traits that actually make him grounded, respected, capable, and attractive in the first place. He becomes agreeable instead of honest. Soft instead of disciplined. Performative instead of authentic.
