Finn Balor says he questions daily whether staying in WWE after 13 years, away from his family in Ireland and his wife's family in Mexico, is still worth it.
Balor made the admission on What's Your Story? With Stephanie McMahon, explaining how the calculation shifted after he won the WWE Universal Championship in 2016. He held the title for less than 24 hours before forfeiting it due to a shoulder injury.
"For me, that was the top of the mountain. I know a lot of people say, oh, what if he didn't get hurt, whatever, but that's the highest you can get."
After reaching that peak, Balor said the original trade-off stopped making sense. "Earlier in my career, when you're chasing the dream and trying to make money to get yourself comfortable, you're sacrificing time with family to follow your dream. Once I've achieved more than I could ever have imagined, I don't need any more money, I don't need any more success, I don't need any more attention. So why am I doing it?"
