The Four Horsemen name was never planned. In the fall of 1985, Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard were all put together in one interview segment. When it came time for Arn to speak he improvised on the spot. After the promo Tony Schiavone looked at him and said “I think you just named yourself.” Arn confirmed years later he had no intention of naming the group.
