While proactively patrolling the 400 block of E. Avenida De Los Arboles in Thousand Oaks, Deputy Hernandez contacted a known probationer and conducted a probation search pursuant to the subject’s probation terms. During the search, Deputy Hernandez recovered suspected cocaine and a black handgun from the vehicle. The subject was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Jail on narcotics and firearm-related charges.
Proactive policing helps keep illegal drugs and weapons out of our communities. Deputy Hernandez, who recently completed the Field Training Program, has already made a strong impact and continues to demonstrate his commitment to keeping our community safe. Great work, Deputy Hernandez!
