I cannot believe I got 20K subscribers on my #feministsciencesubstack 15 months post launch! Thank you to my amazing readers. It has not been an easy journey. For me, the easy part is the writing and research. The harder, part was the self-promotion. I'm a very shy person and feel like I'm 'showing off' or stirring the pot too much. My fears were not completely unfounded as I had a cyberbullying incident by a very famous STEM influencer online a few weeks ago that was nightmarish. My tips as a Substack writer? -Write what you are passionate about. People will see your passion and support you -Be authentic when you post, comment, like and subscribe to others. Don't be a sycophant or spammer. -Banking articles and being 6 weeks ahead. Creating schedules for releases. --The first 6 weeks I hit articles hard, dropping 2-3 a week. This pulled in viewers. I then scaled back to 1 a week. Read more about my Substack journey on Substack! feministscientist.substack.com/p/2025-the-...
