HARD TRUTH: Most women are paired up in their 30s or 40s. They are not spending YEARS single (by single I mean either long-term partner or married).
YOU ARE NOT IMAGINING IT.
According to Pew 2020, only 19% of women in the US are single between the ages of 30 and 49. Divorce rate and singledom has been declining since 2020. Yet this tiny number seems to scare the right-wing (most people include the ages 25-30 in the single demographics, which inflate the % singe--between 25-30 is a rapid coupling up time).
Also PLEASE do not say 'well it's better than being abused" because A) this is de-meaning to women really trapped in abusive relationships and B) sets the bar at hell in dating
There's a lot of scariness navigating the world alone. I've gone through severe depressive episodes about it and it's a vicious cycle the loneliness & rejection breeding more mental health issues that makes it harder to maintain relationships pulling you further into isolation.
