I had a migraine that day. The kind where light hurts and your bed feels like the only safe place.
I never miss his things, but I almost did.
I forced myself to go to my son's award ceremony.
And Alhamdulillah I did. Masha Allah.
Because while my son was smiling with his certificate, another little boy was walking out of the room in tears. His parents couldn't make it.
I don't know why. Life happens. Work, illness, circumstances. I'm sure they tried. No judgment here.
But watching him leave broke my heart.
It reminded me: these "small" moments are their big moments.
If you can be there, be there. Even when it's hard. Even when you think it won't matter.
To them, it's everything
