Mandarin Oriental is no stranger to Thailand. The group opened in Bangkok in 1876 and still runs some of the country’s most established properties. Its latest move into private homes, 📍@tatvanithailand near Chiang Rai, is one of the more remote additions. The estate sleeps up to 18 guests across teak villas on 29 acres, with a private chef cooking to order, butlers on call, and spa treatments arranged when you want them. Meals, drinks, and local outings are handled as part of the stay. This includes time at a small, family-run, multi-generational elephant sanctuary outside the city, where guests can learn about the importance of protecting the gentle giants. 📸@tatvanithailand #thailand #thailandhotel #elephantsanctuary #mandarinoriental
