My mom @howtomakethewnba played at Madison Square Garden in 1975 — scored 20 points representing the Chinese women’s national team in what was literally the first time the US and China ever played each other in women’s basketball. Two countries that had just opened relations, and she was part of that moment. She even got to meet President Ford on that trip.
