Turnout in Oregon’s primary election reached 16.5% by early Friday morning, with just five more days for voters to get their ballots back to election offices, the state reported.
This year, Oregon voters are weighing in on a competitive Republican primary for governor, fiercely contested battles for Portland‑area legislative seats, coveted county commission posts and a statewide vote on raising gas and transportation taxes, among other things.
