The Portland metro area has long been a hotbed for comic book and tabletop gaming fans; comic book and game shops are common, and one of the comic industry’s major publishers, Dark Horse Comics, is headquartered in Milwaukie. Now, the Hillsboro area is getting its own comic-centered convention. The inaugural Westside Comic Con is coming to the Wingspan Event & Conference Center, May 23-24, 2026.
