Most people only see the finished steel product. What they don’t see is the process that shapes it. This is plasma cutting — a manufacturing method that uses an electrically conductive gas heated into plasma to cut through metal at extremely high temperatures. Once the gas becomes ionized, it can transfer energy efficiently enough to slice through steel in seconds with precision and speed. The bright arc you’re seeing can exceed temperatures of around 20,000°C at the core. Compressed air or other gases force that plasma through a narrow nozzle, concentrating the energy into a controlled stream capable of cutting thick conductive materials cleanly and efficiently. Plasma cutting is used everywhere across modern industry: * Structural steel fabrication * Automotive manufacturing * Heavy equipment repair * Shipbuilding * Construction and demolition * Infrastructure maintenance * Industrial recycling and material processing One of the reasons plasma cutting became so important in prod...
