This past Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting 21 mommas from Olive Crest and 15 volunteers at a Mother’s Day luncheon in my home. For those who dont know, I am a Trustee for Olive Crest, which is a nonprofit that is dedicated to preventing child abuse by strengthening, equipping, and restoring children and their families in crisis. We also work in the human trafficking sector. I love this organization so much! I love what we do, who we serve, and the people that work here. We focus so much on the kids (as it should be), but this Mother’s Day, I wanted to celebrate them. They have been through more than most could ever imagine, and I wanted to let them know they are seen, loved, and supported. In addition to the gift baskets that were made for them, I gave the women a rosary, a rosary pouch, and a daily devotional book, and the audio used here is the little speech I gave before these gifts were passed out.
