Over the last two years, Saam Sultan, the Florida-born, Brighton-raised singer, producer, rapper, and model has carved a unique path in the underground/indie space, not tying himself to any specific genre or aesthetic. One month he could drop a cloud rap track rivaling some of the biggest names in the genre, and the next month he could drop an emotional, atmospheric art-pop ballad. This dynamic carries over into Sultan’s most recent EP, Seraphim. On the EP, Sultan goes where he pleases, floating between genres with interludes aiding in the transitions between songs and tying the dazzling project together. The EP also offers a refreshing shift in direction that fans have come to expect from Sultan, taking ambient instrumental breaths between the vocal tracks on the EP.
